Every type of barcode scanner for every application
Corded Scanners
Commonly referred to as USB Barcode Scanners. Corded barcode scanners are lightweight and easy to use.
Wired Scanners are physically attached to hardware via a desktop computer, laptop computer, or an instrument. Wired scanners fall computer terminal into three categories – Laser, CCD and Slot.
Laser scanners are highly flexible – they can read a wide variety of barcode densities, from varying distances. They can read from irregular surfaces or even through glass or under plastic.
Charge Coupled Device (CCD) scanners are less flexible, but more cost effective, generally having a lower power consumption. They come with a range of interfaces (Serial, USB, PS2 Keyboard Wedge) and many have a “hands free” scanning option.
Slot scanners are very easy to use and therefore suitable for untrained users – this means they are often used in self-checkout, time & attendance and production tracking and progress applications.
Opticon OPL46X
The L-46X is a fast 2D hand scanner that comes with a stand. The L-46 scans at a speed of 100 frames per second. The cables are interchangeable, making it easy to switch between USB or RS-232 interface. This scanner is designed to perform strongly at moving object scanning, increasing the easiness of how the device scans. Reads all mainstream 1D and 2D barcodes (2D = QR codes for example).
Honeywell 1950G
The 1950 series scanners deliver premium performance and class-leading durability for improved employee productivity and maximum uptime. Withstands 2,000 0.5 m (1.6 ft) tumbles and 50 1.8 m (6 ft) drops. The scanner is optimized for scanning both digital codes off customer smartphones and merchandise codes by the cashier at the register. Superior scanning performance, even on damaged and poor-quality barcodes.
Wired Charge Coupled Device (CCD)
CCD scanners are generally less flexible, but more cost-effective with lower power consumption.
CCD scanners are like digital cameras. They have lots of tiny lights that take pictures all in one line. They usually have rather fast scan rates however they need to be held close to the barcode as they can generally only read from under three inches.
They are lower cost than traditional barcode scanners which makes them an ideal choice for uses such as point-of-sale and other applications where distance isn’t an issue.
CCD barcode scanners are used every day and are popular in grocery stores and many other places. They look like TV remotes with a little hook attached to them. The user points the scanner at the code on an object, then pushes a button which takes a picture of that code.
CCD scanners do have a tendency to require calibration on occasion to keep them accurate.

Pocketable form factor sizing without any compromise on performance. Perfect take-anywhere scanners.
The companion scanners we offer have virtually the same features and performance area-imaging engine found in our full-size scanners, so you can scan virtually all 1D and 2D barcodes with ease.
The small formfactors are contoured to be easy to handle and lightweight. Most have oversized scan buttons so they are easy to operate, just point and press.
Some models come complete with Bluetooth wireless connectivity, allowing you to move up to 10m away from the host device for convenience.

Bluetooth wireless technology provides freedom of movement up to 10m from host device.
Omni-Directional Scanners
Better at reading poorly printed wrinkled, or even partial barcodes.
Omnidirectional barcode scanners use a series of different scanning lines that cross all bars and spaces regardless of orientation. They almost all use a laser. Unlike single-line lasers, they produce patterns of beams in varying orientations that allow them to read barcodes from different angles. Most of these scanners use one rotating polygonal mirror and an arrangement of several fixed mirrors to generate their complex scan patterns.
Omnidirectional barcode readers and scanners are used in many places. Some people use them in supermarkets when they scan a code, other people use them in warehouses for packaging.
The scanner is usually larger than linear ones, so they require more space for installation. Some models also require some sort of shielding is against other electromagnetic interference.
Zebra DS9308

With swipe speeds that are up to 50% faster than competitive scanners, the scanner can capture barcodes as fast as they are presented.
